Sculpt Wax
The wax modelling day will start with a brief spoken intro into tools and techniques, then Sophie will guide you through the various different ways to work with wax to create your model.
After the session your wax model will then be sent off to be cast in your choice of metal.
Finishing & Polish
In the finishing session you’ll be guided through the process of cleaning up, polishing and adding any attachments to your cast piece of jewellery.
Your creation will be ready to take home at the end of the session!

Features
Key Course Details
the course costs £100 which covers both the wax carving and finishing session
wax is included; you will pay for the material costs based on your sculpt and chosen metal at the end of the wax carving day
the finishing day is on Saturday 9th August 16.30-18.30
if you cannot make the finishing session the tutor can complete your piece for you, which you can collect from the studio at a later date

Sophie uses a combination of traditional hand made jewellery techniques, wax modelling and 3D CAD technology to create her pieces.
For several years she has been teaching a wax modelling class at Alice Goldsack's Jewellery School.
