Wax carving with Captain Grimace - June 2025
In this amazing two part course, you will be guided on transforming wax and an idea into a cleaned and polished piece of jewellery.
Wax carving day
The wax carving day will start with a brief spoken intro into tools and techniques, then Steve will guide you through the process of carving a wax model.
After the session your wax model will then be sent off to be cast in your choice of metal.
Bring your own designs and ideas
If you have a firm idea of something you’d like to make, please bring along some sketches or source images to work from.
If you’re unsure of what to make, Steve can help you work out what’s achievable within the time, and help you design a piece to carve.
Finishing and polishing session
In the finishing session you’ll be guided through the process of cleaning up, polishing and adding any attachments to your cast piece of jewellery.
Your creation will be ready to take home at the end of the session!
